  Nothing like seeing the grimace of agony as the clerk readies themselves for the arduous task of either turning to the left, turning to the right, or enduring a few tedious keystrokes on the keyboard. With every customer, the clerk's stool strains and creeks under the weight above, protesting every movement. The apathy is tangible. But at night, when the day is done, rest easy knowing that you are subsidizing this public servant. Your help funding their pension and paycheck soothes the discomfort you cause them with your questions, phone calls, and visits. I kid, but in reality, come on guys - when you show everyone in line you hate your job through your non-verbal actions and lack of empathy do us a favor and make a change. And when you make a mistake and inconvenience a customer, its OK to apologize, you don't have to act smug every time.

  I have only received the best service at this location for 35 years. They have always greeted me with a smile. Handled holds, shipping, and complicated mail to family members in Senegal, Iraq, Poland and other out of the way spots. Delivered mail from my father with advancing dementia even when the address is more than a bit cryptic. Some places in the world "store" your mail and then charge you for the service. Some places in the world open your mail and see if there is something they might be interested in. Some post offices in the USA do not greet you with a smile or have interesting stamps. We should not take our local Post Office for granted.
